PSRS Celebration

On Saturday May 18, 2019 we celebrated 60 years of our parish. I have been priviledged to share almost half of the history as I started to attend daily Mass right after Fr. Kester moved to St. Matthias. We were members of a spiritiual support group prior to his assignment as pastor. Saturday we had another wonderful Confirmation Class from our parish represent our hopes in making a difference and bringing hope and healing to our community.

  • These four students were baptized here thirteen and fourteen years ago.
  • These students received their First Penance and Holy Communion here six years ago.
  • All four students have become great humans .

Thank you for the continued help and support that flows from the amazing Catholic Church that drew men like Father Port and Deacon Charlie to seek and to serve our church by taking vows. Every community that teaches and models the kindness and gratitude that our parish does is constantly rewarded by love from the people. Our compassion for the homeless after a tornado disaster is well known. Our Pro-Life virtues help moms and parents and babies with incredible love and compassion as called for by Christ in both the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy.

The goal of PSRS is to STUDY + PRAY + SERVE. When we established the goal of our PSRS Program, we decided to look at ways we encounter Christ. Those experiences can transform hurt into hope and healing. Our hope is to increase these encounter experiences for every member of the parish.

Look for more details coming soon on the PSRS page.
